Online registration (requires an Alabama driver's license or non-driver ID) must be submitted before 11:59 PM on October 19. Mailed registration form must be postmarked no later than October 19. In-person registration must be received before the close of business on October 19.
Absentee (excuse required) applications sent by mail must be delivered to the county Absentee Election Manager by Oct 27; hand-delivered applications are accepted through Oct 29.
Mailed absentee ballots must be received by the county Absentee Election Manager by noon on Election Day (a postmark is not enough). If you hand-deliver your own ballot, it must be in the office by close of business (no later than 5 PM) on Monday, November 2. Military and overseas voters have different rules.
