Texas law fixes uniform election dates that local governments must use, and the May date in an odd-numbered year is the first Saturday in May - Saturday, May 1, 2027. Most Texas cities, school districts and water districts hold their regular elections for city council, mayor and board seats on this date.

The second uniform election date Texas local governments may use is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November - Tuesday, November 2, 2027.
