Voter service centers open for in-person voting and same-day registration on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Some county election offices open earlier (Kauai's Elections Division main office from October 14); check your county. Voter service centers stay open through Election Day, closing at 7 p.m. Hawaii votes by mail; in-person voting and same-day registration are offered at voter service centers Oct 20 - Nov 3, 2026, excluding Sundays (generally 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day). Locations, hours and any earlier opening days vary by county.
Paper registration forms must reach your County Elections Division by 4:30 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2026.
Registered voters are mailed a ballot automatically (expect it by Oct 16). To have your ballot sent to a different address, your County Elections Division must receive the request by Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Register and vote in person at a voter service center from October 20 through Election Day (closes 7 p.m.). Same-day registration is available at voter service centers Oct 20 - Nov 3, 2026 (excluding Sundays); you register and vote in person.
Your County Elections Division must receive your ballot by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarks do not count; drop boxes are open until 7 p.m.
