In-person absentee voting at the county clerk's office begins Tuesday, Oct 6, 2026 (Wyoming calls early voting 'absentee voting'). Last day of in-person absentee voting is Monday, Nov 2, 2026. No-excuse in-person absentee voting at the county clerk's office Oct 6 - Nov 2; hours set by each county clerk. Polls on Election Day are open 7 am - 7 pm.
A mailed registration form must reach your county clerk's office by Monday, Oct 19, 2026, when regular registration closes; a postmark alone is not enough. Mail registration is for those who cannot register in person, and the form must be notarized (except military and overseas voters). A form arriving later may still be processed if it comes with an absentee ballot request. Regular registration closes Oct 19, 2026. After that, voters may still register in person and vote an absentee ballot Oct 20 - Nov 2, or register at their polling place on Election Day. Voters may register in person and cast an absentee ballot Oct 20 - Nov 2, 2026, and may register and vote at their polling place on Election Day. Proof of ID, citizenship and residency required.
Absentee ballots can be requested any time in 2026 up to the day before the election (not on Election Day). Any registered voter may request one; no excuse needed. Requests by mail late in the period risk the ballot not arriving and returning in time.
Absentee ballots must be received by the county clerk's office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day; late ballots are not counted, regardless of postmark.
