The Board of Elections online portal (requires a New York State online account) forwards your application to your county board, which must receive it by Saturday, October 24, 2026. Mailed registration forms must be received (not just postmarked) by a board of elections by Saturday, October 24, 2026. Register in person at your county board of elections or a participating state agency by Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Early mail or absentee ballot requests by mail or the online portal must be received by Saturday, October 24, 2026. In-person requests at your county board are accepted until Monday, November 2.
Early in-person voting starts Saturday, October 24, 2026. Early in-person voting ends Sunday, November 1, 2026. Nine days of early voting statewide (Oct 24–Nov 1). Sites and daily hours are set by each county board of elections.
Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (Nov 3) and arrive at your county board of elections by Tuesday, November 10, 2026. In person, bring it to your county board of elections by 9:00 PM Nov 3, to any early voting site in your county Oct 24–Nov 1, or to any poll site in your county by 9:00 PM on Nov 3.
