Register or update online (requires a current Alaska driver's license or state ID) by Sunday, October 4, 30 days before Election Day. Mailed registration must be postmarked or received by October 4 (a Sunday). Register in person by Sunday, October 4. Division of Elections offices are open for registration Saturday Oct 3, 10 AM-4 PM, and Sunday Oct 4, 12 PM-4 PM.
Absentee in-person and early voting begins 15 days before Election Day; no excuse needed. Absentee in-person voting continues through Election Day. Locations and hours vary by site. No-excuse absentee in-person/early voting runs Oct 19 through Election Day at designated locations; hours vary by location (regional offices have weekend hours on Oct 24-25 and Oct 31-Nov 1).
By-mail absentee applications must be received by Oct 24. Applications for ballots delivered by fax/online (electronic transmission) must be received by 5:00 PM Alaska Time on Nov 2.
Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by Nov 13, 2026 if mailed within the U.S. (Nov 18 if mailed from overseas). In-person returns by 8:00 PM on Election Day; electronically returned ballots by 8:00 PM Alaska Time Nov 3.
