Maryland voter registration closes Oct 13 for the November 3, 2026 election. Every deadline — registration, mail ballot and early voting — with the official source for each.

Register online by Tuesday, October 13, 2026. After that, you can still register in person during early voting or on Election Day. Mailed registration applications must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Early voting starts Thursday, October 22, 2026; centers open 7 AM-8 PM every day including the weekend. Early voting ends Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 8 PM. Dates and hours (7 AM-8 PM) are the same statewide; you must vote at an early voting center in your county of residence.
If you want your mail-in ballot sent to you by mail or fax, your request (online, or by mail, drop box or fax, which must be received, not just mailed) is due by Tuesday, October 27, 2026. If you want to get your ballot by email and print it yourself, the deadline is Friday, October 30, 2026. You can also request in person at your local board of elections until 8 PM on Election Day. No reason needed.
You can register in person during early voting (at a center in your home county, with proof of residency) or at your polling place on Election Day (polls open 7 AM-8 PM). Same-day registration is available during early voting (Oct 22-29) and on Election Day. Bring proof of residency such as an MVA-issued license/ID or change of address card, paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other government document with your name and address.
Mail your ballot so it is postmarked on or before Election Day, November 3; it must reach your local board by 10:00 AM on Friday, November 13, 2026. Drop boxes and hand delivery close at 8:00 PM on Election Day.
